About Us

Cub Scout Pack 382 of Arnold, MD has been scouting for many years, and Asbury Methodist Church has been our charter organization since that time. Our "official" scouting year begins in September with our first pack meeting, and ends in June at our Raingutter Regatta / Summer Picnic.

We have program components for boys in the first through fifth grades (or ages 6 to 10). The boys join a Cub Scout pack and are assigned to a den of about 6-10 boys in their grade. The rank of the scouts in a Den is determined by grade: Tiger Cubs (First-graders), Wolf Scouts (second-graders), Bear Scouts (third-graders), and Webelos I (fourth-graders), and Webelos II (fifth-graders).

The Dens are led by 1-2 two of the parents in the Den who serve as Den Leaders. Den meetings are scheduled by the Den Leaders -- usually one or two a month.

Once a month, all of the dens and family members gather for a pack meeting under the direction of a Cubmaster.

The Pack Committee runs the pack and is made up of parents of boys in the pack.
